Excellent- Abeking & Rasmussen has been awarded the “IHK-Seal of Quality Best Apprenticeship”. But where is the young talent, you ask? Here, at Abeking & Rasmussen, we never rest on our laurels. We don’t wait for the young talent to come to us; we actively seek it out and foster it. Deliberate measures specifically aimed at our target group, such as the Meet the Company Days or fixed cooperation with schools, has enabled the prestigious shipyard for quite some time now to inspire and interest the new generations in industrial and skilled trade work. This commitment has finally been recognised and rewarded by the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Abeking & Rasmussen operations manager and training manager have accepted the award “IHK-Seal of Quality Best Apprenticeship” in August 2019. “We have taken part in this competition precisely in order to find out exactly where we stand. And it is obviously right at the forefront, which we are extremely proud of”, explains the training manager Helge Zeims-Gillerke.
