The 74 m megayacht Elandess spectacularly launched
Abeking & Rasmussen in Lemwerder launched today the brand new 74 m megayacht Elandess. Several heavy-transport vehicles were needed to move the 2.065 GT yacht from the hanger to the syncrolift.
In order to realise their dream of a perfect luxury yacht, the experienced owners commissioned the renowned Design Studio Harrison Eidsgaard. Peder Eidsgaard and his talented team designed the ship’s interior as well as the exterior. The result is an exclusive ship brimming with innovative design elements and an overall visionary aesthetics.
The owners envisioned a modern and spacious yacht with generous sitting and relaxing areas where time with the family as well as with friends and other guests could be spent in a congenial and unforgettable ambience. The Elandess 2018 delights with a multitude of impressive living areas including the striking underwater Neptune Lounge and the 8 m x 2.5 m swimming pool on the huge Sun Deck. It is hard to imagine that such vast and extensive lounge areas hide behind such modern and streamlined superstructure and hull. Floor-to-ceiling windows round of this pervasive aura of limitless spaciousness creating light-flooded interiors and exclusive, uninterrupted views.
While the owners have chosen to work with the shipyard for the second time in a row, it was the first collaboration between Harrison Eidsgaard and Abeking & Rasmussen. The result of a close cooperation with Burges, acting as owner representatives, and the experienced A&R shipbuilders is a sight to behold. A picture perfect, world class yacht.
Test drives on the Weser and the North Sea are to commence soon, while the interior gets the last few finishing touches done. A&R is going to deliver this masterpiece in summer 2018.
