Full steam ahead with plenty of energy

An impetus for environmentally friendly sailing developed exclusively by Abeking & Rasmussen: a new hybrid concept that brings eco-friendly and healthier sailing to new heights. Admittedly, diesel engines are still drives of choice for long distance sailing, but fuel cells have proved very efficient for on board power use, cruising at speeds of up to eight knots and manoeuvring in the harbour.

Emission: Zero

Abeking & Rasmussen has managed to further optimise this already energy-efficient solution – from an improvement to a picture perfect emission footprint. An absolutely carbon-free fuel cell drive, powered by methanol, emitting nothing but clean steam. A very clean solution in every sense. An enormous gain for health and environment and a complete loss of carbon particles, on board vibrations and noise.
