The effectiveness of offshore wind farms depends on their accessibility. The operating crew has to be transferred to offshore platforms irrespectively of the sea state in order to secure maintenance and provide supplies. A perfect application for the SWATH@A&R and the Natalia Bekker. Even in strong winds and 4.5 m swells it is possible to operate transfers to the offshore platform. The use of the crew transfer vessel offers more flexibility and autonomy in regards to the weather as well as the availability of service teams which in turn increases the overall productivity of the offshore wind park.
