25 m SWATH@A&R Jelgava for Latvia

The Jelgava launched on 16. April 2013. The 25 m SWATH@A&R ship is part of the five SWATH@A&R patrol boats of Skundra class serving in the Latvian navy. The core mission of the vessels is coast patrol and defence as well as search and rescue. Skundra class vessels can perform a number of different missions by changing the mission module located between the bows of the two hulls, which adheres to the dimensions of a standard 20ft ISO container. A mission module may contain weapon systems or equipment for environmental protection, support for divers or mine countermeasure operations.
