Skrunda

The first of five vessels for the coastguard and the coastal protection: Skundra is equipped for all eventualities within its scope of deployment. This includes a fender system for faster boarding, hydraulic lift for diving and man overboard operations, firefighting monitor and a 20ft ISO mission module container located between the bows of the two hulls. The mission module may contain mine countermeasure equipment, hydrographic survey equipment, and support for diver operations or environmental protection. Skundra is also fitted to carry armaments, such as the remotely controlled 35mm heavy machine guns, as part of the mission module.
