The APEX concept based on modular design makes an individual configuration of future ships a reality. Design modules of the APEX concept make an individual configuration of the ships in the project phase possible. This way the vessels are optimally equipped for their future application. The spectrum of employment ranges from patrol and surveillance, Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) to Anti Air and Submarine Warfare (AAW, ASW). APEX Predator design is optimised for the designated application and at the same time contributes to the great commonality of the APEX fleet.

Safely through demagnetising

The core mission of MCMV (mine countermeasures vessel) is to detect and destroy naval mines. The use of conventional steel is certainly more cost-effective, but entails more risks. The extremely high magnetic signature of conventional steel turns such ships into easy targets. That is why Abeking & Rasmussen offers a much safer alternative – the APEX Protector with a non-magnetic steel hull.
